Just wanted to pass along some kudos to the authors of the new example programs.  
 
The combination of the examples themselves and the IO factories make it really easy to "try out" an
algorithm on your own data.  I have been investigating the various anisotropic diffusion algorithms
in ITK and from the command line I can tell an example to read a DICOM file and output a PNG and
experiment with various parameter settings.  This is great for understanding how an algorithm can
work on your particular data.  Then you have the option of editting the code to set additional
parameters or add other stages to the pipeline. So the examples serve as great starting points.
