You must use the VTK4.2 release tag or the VTK4 repository with itk. VTK is
undergoing massive API changes (I don't agree with this logic, but I was out
voted). There is NO WAY to support both the VTK4.2 release and the current
changes. So, it will be some time before we should even attempt to move to
the current VTK cvs checkout.

Actually, I think Hans accidentally backed out some of the changes. 
Please don't recommit. I will clean everything up myself.

Are you aware that the current VTK state is incompatible with ITK-VTK 
Import/Export?
