I've narrowed the sgi problem down to trouble in Solve::Read. Only the first object is read. Then an
eof is generated. The systenm ends up with 0 elements and crashes in the Solver. I'm looking
further...

Could someone with access to the SGI machines check, why are all FEM tests failing on SGI machines? I
suspect some memory allocation problems but I have really ran out of ideas. In addition, we don't
have any SGI machines here, which makes debugging kind of difficult.
