[Insight-developers] multiple component image io

Hello,

What does itkImageFileReader expect as its output type when reading
multiple component data?  Is there a certain pixel type or pixel type API
that it assumes?

I have a specific scenario in mind:

My data is on disk in raw raster format (say, for example, interlaced
rgb short ints) and I want to work with the data as itk::Image's of
itk::Vector<short int, 3>.
