Don't know for sure,

The approach is described in the LaTeX 
documentation, so it is a normal 
functionality of the LaTeX "graphics" 
package.

I tested it on Linux, and worked fine.

my guess is that it will work ok on 
any well installed Unix system.

On Windows the tricky part could be to
make sure that the installation of 
ImageMagik is on the path when Latex
run, so it can find "convert.exe".

On my Linux box the path for documentation
of the graphics latex package is:

/usr/share/texmf/doc/latex/graphics

  epslatex.ps
  grguide.ps
