[Insight-developers] Handling Multiband Images

Hi,
I have recently joined the team, so please excuse me if
this has been discussed before.

I am currently trying to figure out a way to handle multi-band images, where
each pixel/voxel is associated with a vector data instead of a scalar value.
I can use either the vnl_vector data type or the stl vector type. Would like
to know which one should I go with?

Also, has anyone used multiband data in the itk framework. If so, how does
one  read/write vectors in/out of the itk::Image<Vector<type,n>,DIMENSION>
datastructures using the iterators.
