[Imstk-developers] Squashing many commits

What's the recommended way to squash a few dozen commits? Somehow, the branch I was working on expands the commits when I rebase (I only see 4 commits on my local repo, but when I rebase these 4, they expand to about 40), so I need a fast way to squash them.
