Hi,
A post-doc position (12 months, starting as soon as possible) is
available at ICube Laboratory in University of Strasbourg, France.
This position is funded by the ANR project VIVABRAIN (virtual
angiography simulation from 3D and 3D+t brain vascular model;
http://vivabrain.fr). The VIVABRAIN project aims to develop a full
methodological and software pipeline for Magnetic Resonance Angiography
(MRA) simulation from real 3D acquisitions. These research works,
initiated in 2013, are based on a pluri- and interdisciplinary
collaboration between French research labs in Computer Science,
Mathematics, Physics and Medicine. They also involve Kitware, the world
leader of open-source software for medical imaging.
The purpose of this position is to develop innovative methods and tools
for tackling the following issues:
* 3D angiographic image registration;
* vascular atlas generation design;
* semi-automated 3D vascular model generation.
These works will be carried out in interaction with other PhD students,
researchers and developers involved in the project.
The recruited candidate must have a PhD in Computer Science (or,
alternatively, in Image or Signal Processing). From a methodological
point of view, he/she should have a strong expertise in image processing
and optimization, especially in medical imaging. He/she should also have
high skills in software development, especially in Python, C++ and ITK.
The post-doctoral fellowship will start as soon as possible in 2016. Its
duration will be 12 months. We invite you to contact Benoît Naegel
(b.naegel at unistra.fr) and Vincent Noblet
(vincent.noblet at unistra.fr) for any complementary information.
Regards,
Benoît Naegel
