[ITK] [ITK-users] itk and const-correctness

Hello all,

What is the preferred way to achieve const-correctness in ITK?

I've stumbled with this 2010 post:

which suggests using raw pointers as arguments and pass ::Pointer in
practice. Like the first function of
http://www.itk.org/Wiki/ITK/Examples/Utilities/PassImageToFunction with

  myStandardPointer(image);


Is that still the case in 2014?
