Hi Matt,

thanks for replying! I used the template function below to read two images
but I don't know how can I extract their types (float, double or short)
before calling Read_Image? 

template <class TYPE1,class TYPE2>
void Read_Image(TYPE1 input1, TYPE2 input2)
{
	typedef itk::Image< input1, 3 >  ImageType1;
	typedef itk::Image< input2, 3 >  ImageType2;
        ...
        ...
}
