POST-DOCTORAL POSITION–Computational Imaging
Duke University Center for In Vivo Microscopy (www.civm.duhs.duke.edu) has a post-doctoral position available to work in a high-performance computing environment adapting, developing, and implementing methods for small animal image analysis, based on integrating multimodal imaging (using MR, CT, microSPECT, and optical microscopy to provide quantitative biomarkers for small animal models of human disease). This position is funded for 2 years.
The Center for In Vivo Microscopy has a strong history in high-field magnetic resonance microscopy and microCT, and has recently added confocal microscopy and microSPECT.
Required Qualifications
- PhD in Computer Science, Biomedical Engineering, Physics, Statistics, or similar discipline
- Good written and oral communication skills in English
- Proficiency with programming languages (C, C++, R, Perl, MATLAB)
- Ability to conduct independent research
Preferred Experience
- Working in a computing environment
- MR imaging pulse sequence programming
- Image processing, machine learning, and analysis of large data sets
