This also works for me. In your Xcode project file also everything looks
normal (see GCC_OPTIMIZATION_LEVEL).

Could you please switch your Xcode Build Settings View from "Combined"
to "Levels"? I suspect you have an xcconfig file loaded via an
environment variable which shadows the build settings.
