[CMake] CMake still broken post-2.8.1

Well, the hang occurs when I do so. The "good" line doesn't work due to paths, the temporary C file not having been created, etc., but it doesn't hang.

Can you reproduce these two results by running the two different
command lines on a dummy .c file by hand at a command prompt?
