2 other IDEs that I have used on Windows with various amounts of  
success are:
   Eclipse CDT (using MinGW and MSYS Makefiles)
   QtCreator (through the use of CodeBlocks project files)

Just some food for thought if CodeBlocks does not "flip your fancy"
