[CMake] Mantis usage: reminder or note?

Hello,

If I want to contact the author of a bug report to ask if they could
run a patched version or to inquire further about the bug, etc.,
should I send a reminder or a note?

I would think I need to send a note, but I'm not sure if that will
automatically send an e-mail back to the author of the bug report,
while it seems that the reminder does...
