Thomas, if you are running cmake from the command line, you can access the
documentation using "cmake --help-full".  I just checked, and that
also documents CLEAN_DIRECT_OUTPUT for 2.4.6.  Finally,
http://www.cmake.org/HTML/Documentation.html also documents
CLEAN_DIRECT_OUTPUT.
