[CMake] A couple of questions

Some quick questions:

1) Is there a wiki somewhere describing the usage of CMake as the build
system for cross-compilation?  I need to use it on a platform that I find
it somewhat unlikely for a port to succeed...

2) Is there a (sane) way to generate makefiles that don't themselves call
CMake, even when doing hierarchical (subdir-type) projects?

3) Failing all of those, is there a (sane) way to build CMake such that it
does not need a network stack (curl, XMLRPC)?
