[CMake] cmake 2.2.0 and 'ccache'

I tried to use CMake 2.2.0b in the OpenEmbedded tree.
It defines CC = 'ccache gcc'.

(see http://ccache.samba.org/)

When CMake tests the compiler it fails.
Anyone tried using ccache with CMake?
