[CDash] CDash Docker for Production?

Hi All,

I am looking at the CDash docker image with a view to use it for a small dashboard in an ongoing manner.

I really like the ease of updating the docker image based on my testing with docker-compose. But I have run into trouble when restarting the server, the projects setup disappear. I guess this is the whole “containers should be ephemeral” thing, it is perfect for testing but an issue for production.

I guess I have a few questions;
• Am I crazy for wanting to use the docker image for CDash in productions?
• If not, what is the recommended/expected way to achieve data persistence?
o Write a custom my-docker-compose.yml and add volumes to it etc
o Some other way?
