It used to be that when I would hover over a build name, I would get a
tool tip that told me what version of ctest was used to submit that
particular dashboard.

Now when I hover over it, I get nothing.

I don't know where else to look to see that information in the CDash UI...

Two questions:
(1) can this be fixed and pushed to the server ASAP?

(2) is there somewhere else in the CDash UI I can look to find this
information in the meantime?

On buildSummary.php (after clicking a build name) the top-most part of 
the page includes e.g.:

CTest version: ctest-2.8.9

While taking a look at open.cdash.org right now I noticed that clicking 
the gears icon doesn't seem to open the menu anymore.

This still seems to work for my local instance which runs the recent 
33fe6b5eab949f2541de42bf2a64f98410485c8e.

Hi!

I have upgraded my CDash 2.0.2 to 2.2.2. Everything went well, except 
that the database can not be updated: I have the message "*The current 
database schema doesn't match the version of CDash you are running*", I 
enter into the administration panel but when I click on "upgrade CDash", 
it does not do anything (it simply returns right away). I tried with 3 
browsers on two different platforms and still the same result... I saw 
in a previous post (nov. 2012) that it could be that the table 
"versions" would be missing, but I have it and it is correct.

Does anybody has any idea what I could do to upgrade my database 
structure? Thanks,

Can you check the cdash.log in the backup directory?

Also, you should be able to run the upgrade directly by going to the URL:

   YourCDashURL/upgrade.php?upgrade-2-2=1

[ERROR][pid=13167](Feed Insert): SQL error: Table 'cdash.feed' doesn't 
exist
[ERROR][pid=13734](Site Update): SQL error: Unknown column 'outoforder' 
in 'field list'

When I try to upgrade the database, it does not generate any output in 
the logs (ie it just silently fails).

I also tried to directly run the upgrade with 
YourCDashURL/upgrade.php?upgrade-2-2=1 , then the release number is 
updated in the versions table but cdash still complains that the 
database schema does not match (although it also write "Current CDash 
database schema: 2.2") and I can not see any tests results.

It looks like the tables were not added during the upgrade. Can you 
manually add the following tables in your SQL installation?

  CDash-2-2/sql/mysql/cdash-upgrade-2.0-2.2.sql

Hi Julien,

I created the tables by running and providing the mysql_admin password 
when requested:
mysql cdash < cdash-upgrade-2.0-2.2.sql -u {mysql_admin} -p

And then manually upgraded the version by running
YourCDashURL/upgrade.php?upgrade-2-2=1

I checked, the tables have been created in mysql and the version 
information is alright.

I don't have the message about the database schema anymore and it did 
not generate any logs. I can now enter in the dashboard and see the 
tests. However every test appears 4 times (with the same status and 
duration). And when I try to visualize any of the graphs ("Test Time" 
for example, nothing happens). Is this normal? (in tried in both firefox 
and chromium)

Since manually creating this "rss" directory fixes it,  if the CDash 
sources would already contain the "rss" directory, this error would not

Not a problem per se, just trying to see how to properly configure and what values to use for Open Directory. I have managed to get it working but spotty.. it will work, not work, work, not work? 

So i am assuming i am using bad configuration values.

I have gone through so many iterations i am not sure what to tell you right now.

If you want to do it for all CDash, you can login as administrator then 
click on the warning icon for the log and you should have a button 
"Delete all project's log".

Hi Julien,

I always clicked on the "CDash Logs" link, not the little icon. (Not too
obvious...)
Now I found the button.
The warning icon disappeared, but if I click on "CDash Logs", it still
shows all the log messages. Refresh does not help.

Any idea?

Hi Miklos,

The "CDash Logs" just reads the file from the backup directory. The 
warnings are stored in the database. If you want to remove the log 
completely you should remove the file in the backup directory of your 
CDash installation.

It used to be that when I would hover over a build name, I would get a
tool tip that told me what version of ctest was used to submit that
particular dashboard.

Now when I hover over it, I get nothing.

I don't know where else to look to see that information in the CDash UI...

Two questions:
(1) can this be fixed and pushed to the server ASAP?

(2) is there somewhere else in the CDash UI I can look to find this
information in the meantime?

On buildSummary.php (after clicking a build name) the top-most part of 
the page includes e.g.:

CTest version: ctest-2.8.9

While taking a look at open.cdash.org right now I noticed that clicking 
the gears icon doesn't seem to open the menu anymore.

This still seems to work for my local instance which runs the recent 
33fe6b5eab949f2541de42bf2a64f98410485c8e.

Hi!

I have upgraded my CDash 2.0.2 to 2.2.2. Everything went well, except 
that the database can not be updated: I have the message "*The current 
database schema doesn't match the version of CDash you are running*", I 
enter into the administration panel but when I click on "upgrade CDash", 
it does not do anything (it simply returns right away). I tried with 3 
browsers on two different platforms and still the same result... I saw 
in a previous post (nov. 2012) that it could be that the table 
"versions" would be missing, but I have it and it is correct.

Does anybody has any idea what I could do to upgrade my database 
structure? Thanks,

Can you check the cdash.log in the backup directory?

Also, you should be able to run the upgrade directly by going to the URL:

   YourCDashURL/upgrade.php?upgrade-2-2=1

[ERROR][pid=13167](Feed Insert): SQL error: Table 'cdash.feed' doesn't 
exist
[ERROR][pid=13734](Site Update): SQL error: Unknown column 'outoforder' 
in 'field list'

When I try to upgrade the database, it does not generate any output in 
the logs (ie it just silently fails).

I also tried to directly run the upgrade with 
YourCDashURL/upgrade.php?upgrade-2-2=1 , then the release number is 
updated in the versions table but cdash still complains that the 
database schema does not match (although it also write "Current CDash 
database schema: 2.2") and I can not see any tests results.

It looks like the tables were not added during the upgrade. Can you 
manually add the following tables in your SQL installation?

Hi Julien,

I created the tables by running and providing the mysql_admin password 
when requested:
mysql cdash < cdash-upgrade-2.0-2.2.sql -u {mysql_admin} -p

And then manually upgraded the version by running
YourCDashURL/upgrade.php?upgrade-2-2=1

I checked, the tables have been created in mysql and the version 
information is alright.

I don't have the message about the database schema anymore and it did 
not generate any logs. I can now enter in the dashboard and see the 
tests. However every test appears 4 times (with the same status and 
duration). And when I try to visualize any of the graphs ("Test Time" 
for example, nothing happens). Is this normal? (in tried in both firefox 
and chromium)

Since manually creating this "rss" directory fixes it,  if the CDash

Not a problem per se, just trying to see how to properly configure and what values to use for Open Directory. I have managed to get it working but spotty.. it will work, not work, work, not work? 

So i am assuming i am using bad configuration values.

I have gone through so many iterations i am not sure what to tell you right now.

Hi Miklos,

If you want to do it for all CDash, you can login as administrator then 
click on the warning icon for the log and you should have a button 
"Delete all project's log".

I always clicked on the "CDash Logs" link, not the little icon. (Not too
obvious...)
Now I found the button.
The warning icon disappeared, but if I click on "CDash Logs", it still
shows all the log messages. Refresh does not help.

Any idea?

Hi Miklos,

The "CDash Logs" just reads the file from the backup directory. The 
warnings are stored in the database. If you want to remove the log 
completely you should remove the file in the backup directory of your 
CDash installation.

It used to be that when I would hover over a build name, I would get a
tool tip that told me what version of ctest was used to submit that
particular dashboard.

Now when I hover over it, I get nothing.

I don't know where else to look to see that information in the CDash UI...

Two questions:
(1) can this be fixed and pushed to the server ASAP?

(2) is there somewhere else in the CDash UI I can look to find this
information in the meantime?

On buildSummary.php (after clicking a build name) the top-most part of 
the page includes e.g.:

CTest version: ctest-2.8.9

While taking a look at open.cdash.org right now I noticed that clicking 
the gears icon doesn't seem to open the menu anymore.

This still seems to work for my local instance which runs the recent 
33fe6b5eab949f2541de42bf2a64f98410485c8e.

I have upgraded my CDash 2.0.2 to 2.2.2. Everything went well, except 
that the database can not be updated: I have the message "*The current 
database schema doesn't match the version of CDash you are running*", I 
enter into the administration panel but when I click on "upgrade CDash", 
it does not do anything (it simply returns right away). I tried with 3 
browsers on two different platforms and still the same result... I saw 
in a previous post (nov. 2012) that it could be that the table 
"versions" would be missing, but I have it and it is correct.

Does anybody has any idea what I could do to upgrade my database 
structure? Thanks,

Can you check the cdash.log in the backup directory?

Also, you should be able to run the upgrade directly by going to the URL:

   YourCDashURL/upgrade.php?upgrade-2-2=1

[ERROR][pid=13167](Feed Insert): SQL error: Table 'cdash.feed' doesn't 
exist
[ERROR][pid=13734](Site Update): SQL error: Unknown column 'outoforder' 
in 'field list'

When I try to upgrade the database, it does not generate any output in 
the logs (ie it just silently fails).

I also tried to directly run the upgrade with 
YourCDashURL/upgrade.php?upgrade-2-2=1 , then the release number is 
updated in the versions table but cdash still complains that the 
database schema does not match (although it also write "Current CDash 
database schema: 2.2") and I can not see any tests results.

It looks like the tables were not added during the upgrade. Can you 
manually add the following tables in your SQL installation?

  CDash-2-2/sql/mysql/cdash-upgrade-2.0-2.2.sql

Hi Julien,

I created the tables by running and providing the mysql_admin password 
when requested:
mysql cdash < cdash-upgrade-2.0-2.2.sql -u {mysql_admin} -p

And then manually upgraded the version by running
YourCDashURL/upgrade.php?upgrade-2-2=1

I checked, the tables have been created in mysql and the version 
information is alright.

I don't have the message about the database schema anymore and it did 
not generate any logs. I can now enter in the dashboard and see the 
tests. However every test appears 4 times (with the same status and 
duration). And when I try to visualize any of the graphs ("Test Time" 
for example, nothing happens). Is this normal? (in tried in both firefox 
and chromium)

CreateRSSFeed/

Since manually creating this "rss" directory fixes it,  if the CDash 
sources would already contain the "rss" directory, this error would not 
happen.

I can?t seem to find information regarding integration of CDash when run on a mac server with open Directory ( Apple Implementation of Open LDAP ). Does anybody has any experience with this Or with integrating Cdash with Open LDAP, i would appreciate it if you can get in touch with me.

Thanks, already seen that, although i appreciate pointing this out? but that?s the only documentation/tutorial/sample i been able to find using google. I guess i will keep looking and hoping that someone that has configured it to work on mac is able to help me out.

I don't think we have deployed CDash on Mac with LDAP. Can you describe 
the problem you are having?

Not a problem per se, just trying to see how to properly configure and what values to use for Open Directory. I have managed to get it working but spotty.. it will work, not work, work, not work? 

So i am assuming i am using bad configuration values.

I have gone through so many iterations i am not sure what to tell you right now.

Hi Miklos,

If you want to do it for all CDash, you can login as administrator then 
click on the warning icon for the log and you should have a button 
"Delete all project's log".

Hi Julien,

I always clicked on the "CDash Logs" link, not the little icon. (Not too
obvious...)
Now I found the button.
The warning icon disappeared, but if I click on "CDash Logs", it still
shows all the log messages. Refresh does not help.

Any idea?

Hi Miklos,

The "CDash Logs" just reads the file from the backup directory. The 
warnings are stored in the database. If you want to remove the log 
completely you should remove the file in the backup directory of your 
CDash installation.
