[Cdash] Lock timeouts after MySQL MyISAM -> InnoDB migration

I migrated my CDash MySQL tables from MyISAM to the InnoDB storage engine.
Since then I found entries like the following in my Error Log:
     (BuildFailure Insert): SQL error: Lock wait timeout exceeded; try 
restarting transaction

Does anyone know what might cause these and/or how to mitigate them?
