The life cycle of a proposal

The proposed life cycle of a modification or addition to ITK is the following

  1. Presentation of the proposal over the developers mailing list or the weekly tcon
  2. Technical brainstorming on the Wiki
  3. Development of a prototype (experimental build)
  4. Technical review by the oversight commitee
  5. Voting for addition
  6. Committing modifications in CVS
  7. Maintaining the code forever...
