0009715: move cache view into a tab ?
The cmake-gui is relatively high, or IOW, there is relatively small room for the cache view and the output view of the cmake run, since they are beneath each other (I usually make the log bigger to see something).

How about adding tabs to the dialog ?
At the top the two directory-selection lines could stay as they are, and below them there could be two tabs:
Tab 1: "Configure & Generate"
the content of this tab would then be the Configure and generate buttons and the cmake output log.

Tab 2: View/edit cache
the content of this tab would be the Search/Add entry/remove entry buttons, and below them the cache view.

This would on one hand give more room to both views, and on the other hand it maybe would also make it more obvious that after starting cmake-gui, the next thing to do is usually to press the configure button. As it is now, there are more widgets on the dialog and for newbies it is not completely obvious.

An added advantage would be that there would be a tab interface, and later on additional tab(s) could be added (e.g. one which shows all the targets and the directory structure after the configure run).
