Summary0007883: Installer creates file association
DescriptionIt is very useful to create file association for the document of your application at installation time.

NSIS has support for this: http://nsis.sourceforge.net/File_Association [^]
For GNOME and KDE environment I attach a shell script that do this (it is meant to be called at the end of the installation shell script).
