If you click on the grey area on top of the help, does that make it disappear? |

Heh. It sure does. If I click on any area of the dimmed original page, it dismisses. Out of everything I tried, that didn't occur to me. I guess I strongly associated the dimming with a modal dialog, and therefore didn't even think about the parent.
That's what happens when a desktop application developer uses web apps :) |

I think you have a very good point. Would that help if we add a "close" at the very top of the help screen? |

Perhaps in the style of an [X] in the corner, ala desktop apps. Or, if that's too ugly, maybe just allowing ESC to dismiss it. Also, I think I've seen other webapps dismiss this sort of layer via some sort of onClick handler for the entire layer. Since there are no links on it, maybe that makes the javascript easier? Or, maybe just simply move the "Close" link to the top.
I suppose it all hinges on what metaphor/style you're using throughout CDash.
Like I said, I'm just a desktop app developer who hasn't written a web app since the days of perl CGI. |

Added a [close] link in the top-left corner. Fixed in 1.2. Thanks for the report. |
