DescriptionA follow-up to 0010068.

Throughout the module file, the variable ${PYTHON_MODULE_PREFIX} is used multiple times, but it is never set?! Funnily, the contents "empty" is actually correct.

On MacOS, the required extension is .so, the default extension is .dylib:
      IF(WIN32 AND NOT CYGWIN)
        SET_TARGET_PROPERTIES(${_NAME} PROPERTIES SUFFIX ".pyd")
+ ELSE IF(APPLE)
+ SET_TARGET_PROPERTIES(${_NAME} PROPERTIES SUFFIX ".so")
      ENDIF(WIN32 AND NOT CYGWIN)

Another function, say, PYTHON_INSTALL_MODULE that installs to ${CMAKE_INSTALL_PREFIX}/lib/python${PYTHON_VERSION_MAJOR}.${PYTHON_VERSION_MINOR}/site-packages (or wherever the preferred location nowadays is), would be nice.

Sending old, never assigned issues to the backlog.

(The age of the bug, plus the fact that it's never been assigned to anyone means that nobody is actively working on it...)
