This dataset is resampled from the VisibleFemale dataset. 

1. Getting the data
-------------------

To get the original data either, 
 - ask Karthik (Its on my \\sabbath\Data\VisibleFemale) 

or 
  Go to ftp://vhpfemal@vhd-mms.cilea.it/Radiological
    Login   : vhpfemale
    Password: vis!female

and download the CT and MR data, (will take a while) 

2. Resampling, converting the data to a usable format
-----------------------------------------------------

A. CT
-----

- The VIS Female data contains CT data, which is axial and has a consistent 
  spacing interslice spacing of 1mm. The in-slice spacing varies throughout
  the dataset. Important values from the headers are slice location.

  There are 1 or two slices (c_vf1619.fre) that are missing. I linearly 
  interpolated those slices from neighboring slices. The original data is in
  GE Genesis format. ITK's GE5ImageIO should be able to read them, (with a few
  tricks, ask me). 

  The data was converted to VTK format and is stored on Ruwenda. Its organized
  in 5 blocks.

B. MR
-----

- PD, T1 and T2 MR data are provided. The data is sometimes acquired axially (in the head)
  and the rest of the data is coronal. The axial data has an inter-slice spacing of 5mm.
  The coronal data has an interslice spacing of 4mm.
