[vtkusers] VTK installation issue

I'm having issues with the installation. I'm on Mavericks, did a checkout of
origin/release-5.10, then did a cmake with shared_libs and python_wrapping
ON, and than did a make.

Now when I use VTK in python, python fails and I get this:
    Fatal Python error: PyThreadState_Get: no current thread
    Abort trap: 6

Someone having the same error or a fix for it?
