[vtkusers] Principal axes of inertia or the axis of simetry of a mesh

Hello! 

I was wondering if there is a way to obtain the principal axes of inertia,
or the axis of simetry of a mesh either in VTK or ITK. 

Would you think using PCA of the mesh points would give something similar to
that?
