[vtkusers] how to display color image series?(not through vtklookuptable)

hi all,
      I encounter a problem and need your kind help! I read a series of
color images , whose type is .png.  And now, i want to display them
directly, how  to fix it?   I don't transform the color images to gray ones,
because the color is very complex, if i do that, it is pretty difficult to
set the table values in vtkLookupTable to achieve original style.
I use vtkImageView to test, but  failed. Can anyone provide some
suggestions?
