are _really_ using gcc 4.3.1? Where did you get it? I thought Apple  
only supplied up to gcc 4.2? I have OS X 10.5.6 Intel with Xcode 3.1.2  
installed and my version of gcc is 4.0 (or 4.2 optionally).

can you run "gcc -dumpversion" and post the output?

Did you build this gcc yourself?
