I have been looking a solution for the same problem, to display Greek
and Cyrillic characters on VTK.

After saw the files above, I think that your solution could be a great
help for me.
I'm really interested in your implementation.

Since it has been more than a year since the last msg I found about this topic;
 if you have a newer version, or if you know who continue with your work,
or a parallel one, please let me know.
