[vtkusers] estimating the long axis of a tube in 3D

Hi all

 

For reference I use a plastic tube during CT scanning of a joint in different positions. After 3D-reconstruction of the tube I would like to calculate the central long-axis of the 3D-tube.

 

Any comment would be appreciated!
