[vtkusers] vtkLight and Volume Rendering

Hi Lisa,
I am using Scene lights for lighting which are having no effect on volume. I have a blue sphere in the display , the look of which shows that lights are there , but volume is displayed the way it was dispalayed without lights. Also I am not setting any spot angle explicitly , but I am setting the direction.

Hello Sandeep,

The volume mappers should render according to whatever lights are in your
scene - one note is that not all parameters are considered. For example,
all lights are considered to be infinite (parallel) sources, and parameters
such as spot angle and direction are ignored. Do you have geometry in the
scene, and can you see the lighting effect on the geometry?

Lisa
