Interestingly, the online comparison store I checked with only gave me
that price for academic versions.  Non-academic versions cost quite a
bit.  In any case that is largely besides the point.

It obviously depends on how used to Win32 you are, and how complex the
software is.  For example, are you using Tkinter?

I've used py2exe and it works well.  However, I think Gordon's
installer is more flexible and lets you handle more complex installs.
