Once again, it works perfectly over here.  I removed your "implement
CVS-VTK" part (my environment is setup correctly) before running.

Your dissociation part looks okay.  In my code, I'm a bit more strict: I
remove all actors from the renderer and I make sure that I have NO names
bound directly (or indirectly) to the renderwindow.

I'm afraid this is currently the only way to do this, until I can
integrate my Initialize()/Finalize() changes into the top level
vtkRenderWindow.
