CAE Powertools is proud to announce the availability of FEVis - Finite
Element Visualization Results
Publisher.

FEvis makes it easy to communicate finite element results with customers
and colleagues and enables these
audiences to view and examine the results in a dynamic way.

With FEvis, you can select specific results from your Finite Element
Analysis that you want to communicate. You
can add annotations, comments and views that highlight noteworthy points
in the results. But the model and results
aren't static images. Your customers and colleagues can display these
selected results and manipulate the model by
rotating, panning and zooming the model dynamically. This enables them
to evaluate and assess the analysis results
more effectively than static images or animations in AVI files.

What is a FEvis e-FEresults package anyway? A FEvis e-FEresults package
combines your FEvis result file (.fvz)
and the FEvis Viewer into a compact self extracting executable (.exe)
that can be emailed, copied onto on a
floppy disk, or put on a web or ftp server for downloading. This
executable contains everything the recipient needs
to view your results. No software needs to be downloaded or installed.
They simply double-click the e-FEresults
package (.exe) to open the FEvis viewer and your results!

To make these packages small for efficient distribution, FEvis uses the
latest technologies such as compression and
stores the bare minimum finite element model data, and includes only the
results you select to include. The import
of a 60000 node, 30000 element model and the addition of displacements
(X, Y, Z) and two stress results will
result in a FEvis package that is less than 1 MByte. This can easily be
emailed or copied to a floppy disk.

We think you'll find that FEvis is an extremely powerful tool, but one
that's quite easy to understand. This tutorial
will take you on a whirlwind tour in about ten minutes. After that,
you'll only need to consult the documentation
occasionally.
