[vtkusers] (no subject) - arrows

Thanks for all the replies, I'll try out all of them and see which is best for me.

As a side issue, I sent a post earlier in the week concerning the creation
of large images. Has any body got any ideas on how to resolve the problems
I encounter.

Thanks again,
Simon

  Hi Simon

Here's a vtkArrowSource (based on vtkConeSource ) that I knocked together a while back. I was going to put a bit more work into it (eg. normals) and testing before submitting it but you're welcome to try it out. You can adjust resolution, radius, length and the relative size of tail dimensions (radius and length) wrt to head dimensions. It might work for you in low resolution. Any feedback welcome.

  Malcolm

    Hi All,

I want to display vector orientation and magnitude using arrows.
Is there a way to do this. I looked at the vtkHedgeHog class but this seems to draw lines
only (no arrow tip). The vtkGlmph2D has an arrow but is of course only for 2D where as my
data is 3D. The vtkGlmph3D can be used with a cone (for example) but I tried this a it looks
messy to me (unless you use a high resolution for the cone, but this gets slow!)

    Any ideas??

    Thanks
    Simon
