I'd be in favor of a strict naming convention, it just makes it easier<br>
to communicate.  I'm particularly in favor of the lowercase-dash<br>
convention.<br>

If someone says "go checkout my-stuff-here" they immediately know you<br>
are talking about a branch, and not about a directory or a file etc.<br>
