OK. I was hoping for an answer like, "yes, we already have plans to
tidy up the widgets and unify the code etc", but since everything
works, I have no desire to rock the boat and "if it ain't broke - don't
fix it" springs to mind. <br>

I think coming up with an obsolesce plan would be helpful. As far as I
know the widgets in the widgets directory should all work, and if they
don't they should be made to. I agree there are duplicates, and we
should plan a phase out in a responsible manner.<br>
