Earlier we had anticipated releasing an iOS app to the app store that made use of VES and the KiwiViewer. However, as of February, Apple no longer accepts apps that do not have 64-bit support. Although VTK is supposed to
support iOS now, it appears as though the build is still in an alpha state. Additionally, we noticed that there is VTK 2015 Google summer of code project proposal for to update the KiwiViewer model viewer to work with VTK. What are Kitware’s thoughts about
a timeline for a full-featured VTK and Kiwi or iOS, with maybe Kiwi as a 64-bit app store compliant replacement for the original VES/Kiwi?
