Thanks for the clarification. One minor question, after applying
Merge Blocks is it still processing in serial mode or can i use
MPI to improve the performance? By the way, i am also using NVIDIA
Index plugin. I think that it supports parallel rendering but
again not for multi block dataset. Right?<br>

<div>Hi,</div>

<div>I am trying to perform volume rendering (VR) using
multi-block + multi-piece dataset. In this case, the
data file has single block that contains multiple
piece (created by MPI parallel simulation code) and it
is in structured grid. When I try to use volume
rendering with raw data, it creates empty output but
if I use Merge Block filter before using volume
rendering, it works without any problem. So, I have to
use <span style="color:#000000;font-family:arial,helvetica,sans-serif;font-size:16px;font-style:normal;font-variant-caps:normal;font-weight:normal;letter-spacing:normal;text-align:start;text-indent:0px;text-transform:none;white-space:normal;word-spacing:0px;background-color:#ffffff;display:inline!important;float:none">Merge
