[Paraview] Ellipsoid glyphs

Hello,

I looking for a method to visualize a set of ellipsoids,
defined by three vectors at each point.
As far as I can see, the vtkTensorGlyph would be suited
best, but unfortunately it is not available in ParaView.
Has someone imported this filter into ParaView (the wiki
article seems quite out of date) or could point me to
an alternative approach?
