<p class="MsoNormal">I was doing some scalability runs last week - actually redoing some old ones and I found that if I use >64 pvservers, although the server says “client connected”, the client locks up and never returns. Setting breakpoints shows it to be
in some low level nvidia driver (windows client) which didn’t make a lot of sense to me.<o:p></o:p></p>

<p class="MsoNormal">However I had similar problems when running on a remote cluster with a vnc session and a linux compiled client.<o:p></o:p></p>

<p class="MsoNormal">I tried recompiling paraview with all plugins disabled, but the problem persists. I do have a couple of my own patches applied, but I do not suspect them to be the problem.<o:p></o:p></p>

<p class="MsoNormal">I’m using pv3.98 master from about 2 weeks ago and can do a pull – but I doubt it’ll make a difference (I had this problem before and pulled in the hope it’d be fixed). I’m currently suspecting the new memory inspector as a possible cause
of hang around startup – but this is based on no evidence, so take it with a pinch of salt.<o:p></o:p></p>
