1)      Yep, I remembered that the second I put foot in the car last night.  Good point.

2)      Easy to fix.  Just don’t do hidden line removal when the mouse is being used.

Alan,

A couple of reasons why I feel this should not be the default:

1. it doesn't work when using distributed rendering; in that case, it reverts back to traditional wireframe mode
2. it's more work i.e. it will incur a performance hit

At the very least, let’s make it a standard property on the Properties tab.  It is currently advanced!  That’s not where it belongs.
