I did a direct performance comparison on 2 machines using a fresh install of
the paraview 4.1 binary (Linux 64bit) with the LiveArticle application that
starts pv_web_visualizer with the same pvsm file (including a vtk and a stl
file).

1) on a i3 dual machine with 4GB with onboad graphics under UBUNTU.
Rendering is relatively smooth

2) on Intel Xeon quadcore machine with 24GB RAM and a NVIDIA GF100GL GPU
under CentOS Linux release 6.4. Here, the rendering is by far slower and
hardly usable. Sometimes there is a delay of up to 1s until the images is
refreshed.

May the graphics card not work properly ? Are there any compatibility issues
?

It would be great to resolve this and get the speed improved on the Xeon
machine. Many thanks for any ideas.
