From matt.leotta at kitware.com Wed Jul 8 15:00:18 2015 From: matt.leotta at kitware.com (Matthew Leotta) Date: Wed, 8 Jul 2015 15:00:18 -0400 Subject: [Kwiver-announce] MAP-Tk v0.5.1 released Message-ID: MAP-Tk v0.5.1 has been released. This release is mostly bug fixes over the last stable release (v0.5.0), but also adds Travis CI support for continuous integration testing. The full release notes can be found here: https://github.com/Kitware/maptk/releases/tag/v0.5.1 We will be releasing much bigger changes in a few days with MAP-Tk v0.6.0. The v0.6.0 release is a big restructuring that adds Eigen as a required dependency and adds true dynamic plugin support. It was originally intended to be v1.0.0, but we have a lot more big changes in store in the near future and aren?t ready to call the MAP-Tk API ?stable? just yet. Stay tuned for more details coming soon. -------------- next part -------------- An HTML attachment was scrubbed... This is a major release of MAP-Tk that provides both new functionality and fixes over the previous v0.5.1 release. Although the API has changed significantly, we still consider MAP-Tk to be in "pre-release" and are not yet ready to increase the major version number and mark this release as v1.0.0. Additional major restructuring is planned before we release v1.0.0 with a "stable" API. You can read about the new release here: https://github.com/Kitware/maptk/releases/tag/v0.6.0 We?ve already started work on new features for the next release. Coming soon is a much anticipated plugin for Ceres Solver providing a new bundle adjustment back end. We are also further refactoring the code for tighter integration with sprokit, Kitware?s stream processing toolkit, so that we can start to make MAP-Tk run in a streaming mode. The API will continue to be in flux until we hit v1.0.0. We want to get the API right before releasing v1.0.0, but we will continue to make frequent stable releases in the mean time. -------------- next part -------------- An HTML attachment was scrubbed...
