Hi Alam,

Yes, you can check if the image modality stored
in a DICOM file is MRI or CT by using the IO
classes in ITK.


You will have to look for the tag:

       0008 0060   "Modality"


For an example on how to do this,
please look at the file

    Insight/Examples/IO/
              DicomSeriesReadPrintTags.cxx


Go to line 106 and change

               "Patient Name"

for

                "Modality".



You will get as values:


              "MR" or "CT".
