Hi Yang,

This application expects to receive 3D images as input.
To be more precise, the input images must have at least
4 pixels along every dimension, and probably will only
produce good results for images of at least 10 pixels
along every dimension.

The CVS version of these applications have been modified
in order to provide an informative error message instead
of crashing when you load 2D images or images without
enough pixels.

You may want to try this demo applications with the
3D brain images from the BrainWeb project, that are
available in our FTP site. Instructions are provided
in the "Data" link of www.itk.org

       http://www.itk.org/HTML/Data.htm

The following email posted to the list on April 2004
provides a step by step guide on how to use this
demo application for segmenting the ventricles :

Also, the VTK rendering in these demo applications is
not functional at this point. It requires a tunning in
the definition of the transfer functions. If you feel
adventurous, you may want to give it a shot to select
better values for the transfer functions.

Please let us know if you find further problems.

Regards,

   Luis
