Luis,

I see:

set(ITKIO_SUPPORTS_VTK_IMAGEIO TRUE CACHE INTERNAL  "Support the VTK file format" )

Should this really be an internal variable? I was looking for something link this in ccmake.

From the simpleITK perspective, we don't want the user to have to register all the imageIOs they may need. They should just be there by default.

Should ITK maintain the same imageIOs registered by default?
